Floriade is a World Horticultural Expo staged once every ten years in the Netherlands. During the period from April to mid-October 2012, the sixth edition of Floriade will be organised in Venlo. Each day features a cultural programme of music, dance, literature, theatre and visual art from all over the world. Over 40 hectares of the 66 hectare site is home to displays by over 100 Dutch and International exhibitors.

Itinerary
Day 1
Depart from your local pick-up point to Hull for our ferry crossing to Rotterdam, overnight on board.
Day 2
Travel to Valkenburg with free time for sight-seeing or shopping before checking into our hotel, S chaepkens van St Fijt. Hotel Schaepkens van St Fijt offers rooms with a TV and an en suite bathroom. Some of the rooms feature artwork on the walls including vintage photographs. Guests can make use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools plus sauna, the hotel restaurant serves a buffet dinner in the evening. There is a twice daily happy hour at the hotel bar and live entertainment on some evenings.
Day 3
We travel to Venlo to visit the Floriade 2012. The Floriade features a cultural programme of music, dance, literature, theatre and visual art from all over the world. Over 40 hectares of the site are home to displays by over 100 Dutch and International exhibitors who make this ‘The Greatest Flower Show on Earth’
Day 4
Today we visit Keukenhof, the most beautiful spring park on earth. Keukenhof is where spring arrives in all its glory. Just imagine this historic park of 32 hectares brimming with flowering tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other spring bulbs. An overwhelming display of colour, a feast for your eyes and a wonderful spectacle to photograph. There are plenty of terraces and restaurants where you can relax. Over 50 years of displaying its floral art with a new style every year and a fresh look every day. Keukenhof has developed into a showcase for the flower bulb and ornamental plant industry. Travel to the ferry for our return crossing to Hull.
Day 5
After disembarking continue on our journey home.
